
Boeing 787-9 'Dreamliner', the next generation aircraft, was held for the first time in Korea at Incheon International Airport. And B787-9, whose parts are manufactured by HIZE, flies in Korea now.
The B787 is a high-efficiency eco-friendly aircraft that is made up of advanced materials such as carbon composite materials and aluminum alloys. It is a state-of-the-art aircraft with the advantages of 20% reduction in fuel consumption and 20% reduction in carbon emissions. Korean Air plans to introduce 10 units by 2019, starting with introduction of the first unit in February this year.
The first flight of B787-9 will begin on Gimpo-Jeju on March 12th, 2017 and will be operated by Korean Air on international routes such as Toronto, Los Angeles and Madrid since June this year.
Since the start of production of Sec11, Sec15, Sec48 of B787, which is leading the global aviation industry, the B787-9 is now more easily accessible from the domestic market.
